Mission Statement:
The Hedgehog Welfare Society exists to protect the well-being of pet
hedgehogs through rescue, research, and education of the people who care for them.
How to Join:
Please visit our membership sign-up page.
Membership in the HWS is free. Donations of time, funds and
store merchandise are encouraged.
Committees:
The Committee Directory contains links to individual committee
pages and basic contact information about each committee. You are encouraged to
write to the committee chair if you are interested in serving on that committee.
Please keep in mind that committees are sometimes limited to a certain size to help them
function more efficiently. However, if a committee is full, we still want to hear
your suggestions and ideas!
501(c)(3) Status:
The Hedgehog Welfare Society is an Oregon Charitable Corporation
registered with the Oregon Department of Justice Charitable Organization Section. The HWS is also a
tax exempt organization under IRC Section 501(c)(3). Anyone requiring a copy of the Letter of
